End of Year Review-2022
As the end of the year draws near, I am always excited to reflect on the last year.
Inevitably, these posts have a tendency of running away with me and my first draft of this particular blog post was far too long!
The fact is, we shot more than 80 weddings this year!
I have more to say but I don’t want to keep you waiting - here are the photos! Keep scrolling to see a small handful of my favourite images from the year as well as read a little more about the amazing weddings that I have had the privilege to be a part of.
Myself and Lewis want to thank all the amazing couples who have trusted us to be part of their weddings.
Have a great new year
Dan and Lewis

Venues and Date : Rivervale barn 08.09.22
What was your favorite part of your wedding?: The ceremony! And dancing the night away
What made you choose your wedding venue and how did you come to the decision?: We loved how everything was laid out, it meant all our guests never went too far from the disco or we split up too much. The size, aesthetics , the staff, it was just perfect!
What made you choose your details and styling for your wedding at and how did you get inspiration for this?: I love floral things, foliage and green is my favourite colour so for us greens and whites was the right choice. The barn style venue just felt really natural and beautiful complimented all of the styling. Flowers and trailing vines in a rustic look worked so well, it was beautiful and detailed, but because it was nautical designs also understated and down to earth! We felt like it was very our taste.
Who were your other suppliers and vendors.: W4weddingd, follow Dm photography recommendations and they did no disappoint! You guys and Chris & Amy made our day ! Seana’s flowers which were incredible!
What did you like best about working with DM Photography?: It was effortless, the photos are incredible and captured the moments so perfectly. But just a pleasure to have you with us, you guided our day and we’re so much more than just spectators. Our guests raved about how accommodating you were to their requests but you were never in the way, seamless and great guys!

DM Favourite Places - Great Fosters
Nestled in the heart of Surrey, Great Fosters boasts over four centuries of fascinating history. The hotel is home to many unique features that reflect its rich history, including an original royal crest of Queen Elizabeth I that can be found above the main porch, dating back to 1598.
In its time, the hotel has played host to an eclectic array of guests, including the likes of Orson Welles and Charlie Chaplin.
In 1930, Sir Harold Sutcliffe bought Great Fosters, and following a period of careful restoration and refurbishment, Great Fosters became a hotel. The newly established hotel quickly gained a reputation as a premier destination. This status was secured when Queen Mary visited in 1931 and subsequently the Ascot Ball was held at the hotel in the June of that year.

DM's Favourite Places - Wotton House Hotel
Wotton House Hotel
The Estate dates back to the 16th Century, when it was sold by Henry Owen to the Evelyn family. John Evelyn, one of three sons of Richard Evelyn, was passionate about botanicals and arboriculture and was particularly spellbound by the Italian Renaissance gardens he had seen on his tour of Italy. Inspired by what he had discovered on his travels, on his return to Wotton he constructed an Italian garden and temple, designed by his cousin, Captain George Evelyn, which was soon joined by a parterre garden complete with an Italian fountain.
Since this time, the estate has been passed through the Evelyn family, who have all been passionate about preserving John’s legacy, whilst adding their own eccentricities to the estate. Not so long ago, you may have even discovered Kangaroos on the lawn.
We were home to the Canadian Army during the Second World War and in 1947 it became a fire training centre for The Home Office. Soon afterwards, the house became the national Fire Service College.
Today, our house is a home from home; a place where you will create unforgettable memories that will stay with you long after you leave.
DM's Favourite Places - Clock Barn, Whitchurch (Copy)
How can you not love a barn wedding? Well, we certainly do. And none more so than the delightfully quaint Clock Barn, Whitchurch. Situated in the heart of rural Hampshire, Clock Barn really is the perfect, secluded setting for your big day!
No car noise, no nosey hotel guests and no drunkards screaming through the front door (yes it does happen). Clock Barn is an incredible converted barn, tucked away next to the village of Whitchurch.
But the best thing about Clock Barn? The surroundings. Wow. Particularly in Autumn/Early winter, Clock Barn and the farm really come alive. I mean, look at these colours. Unbelievable.
With a great variety of settings for your pictures, from rustic farm buildings, all the way to the hilltops of Hampshire for sunset with incredible views across the rolling hills. The sunset’s at clock barn really are something to behold! (if of course, you’re prepared to get the wellies on!)
All in all, we can’t recommend Clock Barn enough as a place for your special day! Give them a ring today and find out how you can get married at this utterly incredible location!
Amanda and Paul | Greater London Wedding Photographer
It’s always a nice change to go out of our usual working area in the Home Counties and venture to other parts of the south, and Amanda and Paul’s beautiful day in Harefield, Greater London was really lovely. A perfect, classic church ceremony followed by a big ole party at the gorgeous Shenley Cricket Centre, with it’s incredible architecture, and even a splash of sunshine for their big day!
Thank you for having us there to capture your amazing wedding!
Carinthia & Sebastian | The Stirrups | Berkshire Weddings
Make your wedding, yours. Just do it. Like Carinthia and Sebastian, with their outdoor speeches, mass BBQ feast, and intimate ceremony, with nearest and dearest friends and family, they tied the knot. Lovingly witnessed by their own little boy Jenson, it really was a beautiful family occasion.
Catching the last glimmers of golden sunshine over The Stirrups Country Hotel, running out to the wildflower meadows and creating some really fun, gorgeous images with us.
It was a pleasure to be there with you on your wedding day, and we truly wish you all the very best for your married life together!
Amy & Jason | the Lismoyne Hotel | Fleet Wedding Photographer
It’s always a good day at the DM Photography office when the plan for a wedding day starts with “breakfast at Côte Brasserie”, and then follows with a beautiful traditional church service. It’s also a good day when we’re greeted by people so kind, caring and thoughtful as Amy and Jason. Every minute of their wedding was a joy to be a part of, and it really did feel like a day where nothing could dampen their spirits!
With Amy being driven to the church in her father’s very own Morris Minor, in, what one might call a torrential downpour, and still getting out and heading into see Jason absolutely beaming from ear to ear, you can’t really help but be infected by their happiness!
Along with a reception at The Lismoyne Hotel, Fleet, we ventured out to the woodlands of Fleet pond, capturing some really beautiful images of Amy and Jason in the soft golden light, dappled by the forest and helping us craft these photos for them.
Thank you for having us their to capture your special day, it really was a joy!
Lauren & Alex | Frensham Pond Hotel | Hampshire Wedding Photographer
How great is it, when you meet someone at a party or a wedding or something, and then 6 months later you see them again and catch up like best friends? Well… that happens to us too! We photographed Lauren’s sisters wedding in 2018 and meeting the whole bunch again for her wedding to Alex was just fab! Feeling immediately welcomed, as we did at her sisters! With the beautiful surroundings of Frensham pond to accompany their day, how could it not be really wonderful from start to finish!

Lewis - What we've been up to - Lockdown 3.0
Lewis, Jess, Harry & Lottie have been trying to enjoy another lockdown as much as possible. Lots of running around after the animals who have totally taken over the house, we just pay the mortgage!
Lottie has learned a couple new tricks! Such as putting her toys away after making the house a mess with them. (Haha)
Harry has himself a new perch up high to keep him away from Lottie who forever wants to play!
Jess has got herself a promotion! Through loads of hard work and long hours. She is now moving into a marketing role with KFC.
Lewis has turned 34, become a house husband! (Haha again) - However, Dan has taught Lewis how to fish! Caught his first Pike!
We all enjoyed the SNOW!
