Georgina & Sami | Dainesfield Hotel
Georgina & Sami both had a beautiful intimate wedding ceremony at the Maidenhead Town Hall, and then off to an even more stunning Dainesfield Hotel for their wedding breakfast. What a stunning location for wedding photos! We loved shooting there and cannot wait to be back.
Congratulations to you both!
Alaina and James | Barnett Hill Hotel | Surrey Wedding Photographer
Gorgeous Georgian country house? Check. Beautiful bride and bridesmaids? Check. Half scrubbed up groom? Check. Good, we’ve got the amazing wedding of Alaina and James at Barnett Hill Hotel then. Lovely.
And it was lovely. Everything was perfect, down to the finest of details. With the rain holding off, and the drinks flowing thick and fast, it really was a beautiful day for two wonderful people. And we loved capturing each and every minute of it.
Congratulations to the two of you!
Sophie & Rory | The Italian Villa | Dorset Wedding Photographer
The Italian Villa wedding venue has long been a favourite of ours, right down on the gorgeous Poole coastline, with indescribable gardens, statues and fountains. Bright and airy spaces, complimented with attentive and amazing staff! What a venue.
Sophie and Rory were so lovely, all day, just up for anything, they’d even planned a beautiful little sunset excursion down to the beach for some really once in a blue moon photos!
Thank you, you guys are amazing, and I can only thank you for having us as a part of your big day!
Warbrook House | Hampshire Wedding Venue
As you drive along the tree-lined driveway, Warbrook House looms into view. It is a stunning wedding venue on the Hampshire/Berkshire border and is a Grade I listed country estate. Warbrook House is a stunning Georgian manor house set in 130 acres of woodland and parkland setting, and looks amazing in wedding photos.
Wedding ceremonies can take place in a few different spots at the hotel. Inside the main house and they also have a marquee wedding option.
This venue is quite literally a joy to photograph, both inside and out, it is gorgeous. I have been a wedding photographer here a good number of times and it really does put on a very good wedding from the ceremony right through to the evening.
Oakley Hall Hotel | Hampshire Wedding Venue
We’ve been shooting so many weddings at Oakley Hall recently. We’re super happy to write a little something about the venue. Oakley Hall Hotel is just outside Basingstoke, We consider it another one of the many wonderful Hampshire wedding venues we have within easy travelling distance. Here are some examples of weddings we’ve shot there, including the most recent one being Kelly & Liam’s just before lockdown.
Surrounded by stunning 315 acres of glorious grounds and woodland. Wedding Guests can make use of the 50 luxurious bedrooms which include 2 four-poster suites and a charming garden cottage in the grounds.
Lillibrooke Barn | Berkshire Wedding Venue
Lillibrooke Manor is a stunning location for your wedding. Everything you need is on site, plenty of space for your guests to roam and explore. Most importantly, so many beautiful spots to capture some amazing images of your big day.
The amount of weddings we do at Lillibrooke Manor have really picked up a lot over the last couple of years so that speaks volumes for itself.
The ceremony barn is a lovely sized room for your ceremony as shown below. Can easily be beautifully decorated with flowers and add some colour to the room. Adding fake candles really makes the icing on the cake.
The main barn itself, draped in fairy lights, makes a beautiful spot for guests to just relax and enjoy some drinks. Whilst you can move further into the barn and hit the bar, dance area and tables. All the woodwork is gorgeous and adds that ‘dusty’ feel to your images.
Highfield Park | Hampshire Wedding Venue
Highfield Park is an elegant house, set in 35 acres of beautiful parkland on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. It is the perfect backdrop for your wedding. Being able to get away into the countryside for your big day is just the cherry on top!
Having photographed dozens of weddings at Highfield Park, it is another one of our favourite locations to shoot. Seeing so many couples getting hitched here, we know all the best spots around for the perfect photo. You’ll get a good idea when you scroll below.
One thing I do commend Highfield for, is their amazing food and super helpful and friendly staff. Making your big day a perfect one.
Northbrook Park | Hampshire Wedding Venue
What a stunning venue to be invited to, shooting Northbrook Park, which situated on the west side of Surrey just outside the idyllic town of Farnham. This grade 2 listed building has everything to get an excited photographers mouth watering.
From the beautiful ceremony room, to the half dozen peacock’s that call Northbrook Park their home. Who wonder the grounds as and when they please. They are very well known for photo-bombing group shots. Which only adds to the fun of the day.
So, if you’re looking for that picture perfect wedding venue. Northbrook Park can hold up to 250 guests! So if you' have a big wedding planned! Give them a call.
Audley's Wood | Hampshire Wedding Venue
Audley’s Wood hotel is a stunning venue set just outside Basingstoke along the A339. Surrounded by stunning grounds, it proves a perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. Audley’s Wood does have a massive marquee which provides ample room for your guests and opens up into a large dance area after your wedding breakfast.
We absolutely love shooting at Audley’s, from the beautiful ceremony room to the rustique bar, this venue would be an amazing choice of wedding venue.
Take a look at some photos from earlier this year.
Rivervale Barn | Hampshire Wedding Venue
Rivervale Barn, located on the Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey borders. Is a beautiful venue all year round. From the warm interior feel of the barn and rooms, to the ducks swimming in the pond (Which I have to say, creates a stunning reflection for photographs)
If you’re a couple who are torn on wedding venues, Rivervale is honestly the perfect place. The team there are so hospitable and you’re guaranteed to have a wonderful time. Rivervale can hold up to 200 guests for the evening in total and comfortably seat between 50-150 guests for the ceremony and dining hall.
I would strongly suggest having a peruse through these photographs so if you would love to use Rivervale Barn as your venue, you can get a much clearer ‘picture’ of what to expect.
Doorstep Portraits - Making use of Lockdown
Now with lock-down restrictions lifting even further, the opportunity to do ‘Doorstep Portraits’ will be getting a little more thinner.
This has been an excellent way to lift the spirit and improve mental health during these times. We at DM Photography have managed to capture some beautiful imagery from your very doorstep. From practically capturing newborns to wonderful families of 4 or 5 have had their portraits done.
These unprecedented times (We all hope) will never happen again, so having your Lock-Down Portraits taken is a once in a lifetime thing. We are still taking bookings for them, and the best thing is, you don’t even have to travel anywhere.
Emily & Dan | Northbrook Park | Hampshire Weddings
Emily & Dan’s wedding at Northbrook Park had bought nothing but joy and fun throughout the day. We even got a ride to the venue on the awesome 1940s bus! From the beautiful ceremony to the crazy Irish flag party. It was a non-stop day. We have to comment about that donut wall… Definitely the best we’ve seen for quite some time, scroll down to check it out!
Congratulations Emily & Dan
Hollie & Olly | Rivervale Barn | Hampshire Weddings
Hollie & Olly’s wedding was a wonderful day. Despite the fact we had a fair bit of rain, they were both absolutely amazing and were always up for some pictures! Day and night! Even though it was also cold outside, all those who attended had a great time and the party pictures were so much fun! Thank you to the Rivervale Barn staff who did an exceptional job at hosting.
Lockdown Family Blog
Lockdown Blog
On the 23rd March, the world entered Lockdown. Our family, like many others have been affected by this and have been staying at home. There has been highs and lows, arguments and hugs, and fun and boredom in our home. The children have rose to the challenge and have been brilliant. We recognise that we are lucky as we have a small garden, access to outdoor space has made it easier to find space where we can all relax.
As a wedding photographer, most of my work has been put on hold. I have been busy completing other work which can be done on lockdown. I am confident that work will pick up again later in the year, it is just difficult waiting for that to happen. My wife Sarah is an NHS Midwife. We as a family are incredibly proud of her efforts on the front line, but we have been worried about her and missing her terribly. We miss her more on lockdown as time passes slowly and we feel her absence. Life for Sarah has not changed much, she has been going to work as usual for long shifts and relaxing when at home. She reminds us daily that ‘babies do not know there is a pandemic, they just keep on coming’. We have enjoyed applauding Sarah and her colleagues every Thursday with the nation.
The kids are being home-schooled, which is something we would never normally do. Sarah prefers to call it ‘Crisis Schooling’ as a reminder to parents that this is not regular home-school. It is not something we have prepared or studied for, and many parents are trying to work from home as well as home-school their children. With that in mind our schedule is relaxed, we complete core subjects over the course of the week, and the only thing we are insistent on is the children continue to read every day. Our priority has been the mental and physical health of the family, so time playing and relaxing together has been something we engage in at any opportunity.
So, ‘The great pause’ has well and truly happened in our house. Being home has allowed us to reflect on what is important to us, and what is not. The ripples of Covid-19 will be felt for years to come and I hope that we can take forward the ability to pause and just be together.
Laura & Jon | The Ravenwood | West Sussex Weddings
Laura and Jon stunning wedding at the Ravenwood wedding venue on the 20th September was one to remember.
The day started with bridal prep with Laura and her bridesmaids at the Ravenwood pamper room. Jon and his groomsmen also got ready at the venue which was great as we’re able to cover both preparations.
The ceremony took place on the grounds outside at the venue. We then enjoyed drinks and nibbles in the gardens while everyone enjoyed the weather.
While the guests of the couple enjoyed themselves, we took them off to explore the grounds especially the ruins for some creative photos using smoke grenades.
The rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying amazing food from the venue and the wonderful speeches.
We finished off the wedding photos with an amazing sparkler tunnel
Massive congrats again Laura and Jon

Ah the beautiful Botley’s Mansion. Wonderful. Accompanied by arguably the best Toastmaster in the country, my Ian Pompeii, we headed to Bijou Wedding Venues Botley’s Mansion to capture the marvellous day of Sophie and David! Complete with wedding E-type, the exquisite atrium dining space at Botley’s, and one of the wildest dance floors we’ve seen in a long long time. We won’t mention the belt-whipping.

Gabby & Stefan | The Elvetham | Hampshire Weddings
Few things are as beautiful, and as traditional, as a perfect church wedding service. Gabby and Stefan pledged their love to each other in the eyes of God along with over a hundred of their nearest and dearest, and headed back to the delightful Elvetham for a lovely reception. With the conservatory full of gorgeous greenery, and exquisite detailing, all designed by Gabby herself. With Stefan and the lads opting for a change from the norm, and rocking the stone coloured three piece, with floral patterned accessories for the main man himself! And Gabby wowed in her traditional gown. All in all, what a spectacular day we had, and we really hoped they had every bit of fun that we had!
A fresh look at Autumn weddings - Booking this time of year will still be a beautiful wedding
Once the big C word is over with and life gets back to normal in the UK. It’s won’t be long until our favourite time of the year… The Autumn Wedding season will be right around the corner! Summer lovers need not apply. If you’ve been counting down the days until Autumn arrives, you’ve come to the right place. Today we’re sharing all of our favourite Autumn Wedding photos. For any wedding during our most favorite season. From pumpkin-inspired decor to dark, rich colors, there are endless ways to infuse the elements of this time of the year into your wedding.
During these difficult ‘lockdown’ times, if you’re planning your wedding or on the hunt for a new wedding venue we are recommending that all couples stay at home and keep safe.
However, whilst doing the above, there are a number of wedmin tasks that you can do to help keep your wedding plans on track or, if just engaged, help start ticking off on your to-do list.
Such as speeches, gifts for bridesmaids and groomsmen. Even a gift list for your guests to mull over. Jig your music playlist, even create a ‘not to play’ music list!
Matt & Lucy | Cornerstone Church, Nottingham | Wedding Photographer
After a long old drive, we made it to Nottingham for the amazing wedding day of Lucy and Matt. With their ceremony at the Cornerstone Church in Nottingham, a huge space, just perfect for their big big day!
Arriving at the venue we’re greeted by the most incredible display of Autumnal colour, the hedged walls, vines, and amazing trees in the gardens. What a place, the most brilliant location for Lucy and Matt’s amazing photos.
With some great speeches in the marquee followed by a full on roast dinner, everyone couldn’t help to enjoy the reception!
Thank you guys for having us!
